The son of the great Shia Islamic jurist Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Najafi (a religious authority from Pakistan) visited the Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Shirazi in holy Najaf.
In this meeting, both sides discussed various topics with respect to the latest developments of the Muslim and Shia world. It is worth noting that it is a routine procedure for the religious authorities to exchange visits during the month of Ramadan.
During his trip to Kuwait, Sayed Hussain Shirazi, the son of the Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Shirazi continues to host public groups of visitors.
In these meetings, several cultural, scientific and religious Kuwaiti figures meet with the Grand Jurist’s son at his meeting hall and discuss various topics. The Jawn Youth Community from Saudi Arabia were one group of visitors who met with Sayed Hussain Shirazi in Kuwait.
Furthermore, Sayed Hussain Shirazi visited cultural and Islamic centers in Kuwait and learned about their activities. In these visits, the Grand Jurist’s son discussed the latest developments of the Muslim world with high profile Shia activists in Kuwait.
Visitations to the meeting hall of Sheikh Mohammad Joma and Khorshid Caravan, as well as participation in the memorial service of Haji Ali Khaja were among other activities of the Grand Jurist’s son in Kuwait.
The Sadiqiya Cultural Community, dependent to the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Basra began its charitable programs with the start of the holy month of Ramadan in Basra. Following the instructions of the Grand Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi, this charitable institute distributed food items among hundreds of Iraqi orphans, needy families and the families of Iraqi martyred soldiers.
AhlulBayt Islamic Thought Center held a conference in Baghdad, to host the chiefs of Iraqi tribes, particularly the tribe of al-Sarrai, during which Mr. Ali Sarrai, the head of AhlulBayt Center delivered the respects and instructions of the Grand Jurist to these Iraqi tribal figures.
He further emphasized on adherence to the path of the holy Prophet of Islam and Imam Ali (as) to realize their model governments in our present time. The Iraqi tribal chiefs also made speeches to emphasize peaceful coexistence and helping out each other
The 14 infallibles institute, dependent to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Karbala hosted a group of university students from al-Minarah Medical University from Maysan province of Iraq. In this visit, Sheikh Abdul Reza Maash, a famous Arab speaker talked about the role of youths in social development. The members of this institute also participated in a Quranic contest at Sayed Shuhada Complex, dependent to the shrine of Imam Hussain (as) in holy Karbala. Sheikh Maash introduced the book of “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” to the participants at this event.
Two representatives of the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Najaf participated in the conference of Iraqi tribal chiefs held in this City. The conference was focused on the issue of drug addiction and strategies to contain it from becoming an epidemic.
With the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, the Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Qom began series of scholarly sessions on various areas of Islamic sciences, including jurisprudence and interpretation of Quran, at the presence of the Grand Jurist. The sessions are attended by religious scholars, clerics and seminary teachers.

With the approach of the month of Ramadan, Rasul Adham Institute, dependent to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in al-Amarah City of Iraq launched a project, in which food, medicine and clothes were given out to needy families and orphans in this City. It is worth noting that during this project, some home repairs were also done for free.
Coinciding with the World Press Freedom Day on May 3, Freemuslim association released a statement that comes as follows:
The United Nations and many countries around the world celebrate the 3rd of May as the World Press Freedom Day. The naming of this day was an effort to highlight the hard conditions of journalists and other members of the press. Studies and statistics have shown that freedom of press is violated in much of Africa and in the Middle East.”

“Tens of journalists face harsh sentences around the world, charged for leaking the truth that hurt the autocratic regimes. The fate of many of these journalists is still in the dark. The international community and human rights foundations are expected to take measures in order to save the lives of these journalists. Freemuslim also calls on all nations to release all journalists and prisoners of conscience and discharge them of their sentences.”
Delegations from the Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Najaf visited several social and tribal figures during their trip to Wasit province of Iraq. These delegations met with Sayed Abdul Azim Yaseri, a social figure in Wasit and then, they visited Sheikh Hakem Al-Miyahi and Sheikh Farhan Al-Dahami, two tribal chiefs from Kut City. In these meetings, the importance of adherence to the path of AhlulBayt (as) and some other advices by Grand Jurist were discussed.
