Shia Rights Watch released a statement in which it demanded the French minister of Interior to review his recent remarks with respect to Shia Islamic centers in this country. The French official had earlier accused several Shia Islamic centers for purportedly preaching violence and turning into recruitment centers for jihadists.
Shia Rights Watch believes that such remarks are originated from political games at play. Mr. Christophe Castaner, the French minister of interior announced in a statement that four Shia Islamic centers in this country were closed down. He claimed that these centers were places of military training and armed jihad.
In its statement, Shia Rights Watch hinted that Shia have never viewed violence as a means to an end. The Shia communities in western societies insist on peaceful coexistence and dialogue to share their views and beliefs. Shia Rights Watch further mentioned that history has shown that not only Shia Muslims in western societies have never resorted to violence, but also they have always chosen for peace and security.
The Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in the Afghan Capital, Kabul held a ceremony to celebrate the birthday of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (as) on last Thursday. This ceremony was attended by religious and cultural figures as well as public groups of Shia believers. Furthermore, a similar ceremony was also held on this occasion at Lady Zahra Complex in Kabul. Clerics, religious scholars, and students of Islamic seminaries participated in this celebration, during which Mr. Danesh delivered a speech.
Several members of AhlulBayt Charitable Institute, dependent to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Kuwait, including Mr. Saleh Ashour, Haji Salem Najm, and Haji Nasser Kamal visited the Islamic Seminary of Abu Talib in Lucknow, India and met with its managers. The Kuwaiti religious activists further participated in birthday celebrations of Imam Ali (as) at this Islamic seminary and met with clerics at this center.
Some delegations from the International Union of Journalists visited the Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Shirazi in holy Najaf and met with Ayatollah Sayed Morteza Shirazi, the son of the late Grand Jurist Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Shirazi. In this meeting, the important role of media was discussed.
Over the past week, the Imam Hassan Husayniya in Stockholm, the Swedish Capital celebrated the birthday of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (as) during a ceremony. This ceremony was attended by the Shia and lovers of AhlulBayt (as) in Sweden. Religious lectures and recitation of poems about Imam Ali (as) were some parts of this event.
The Community of Servants of AhlulBayt (as) from Basra visited the Public Relations Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Kadhimiya and met with Sheikh Ahmed Allami, the director of this Office. This religious community made this visit, during its pilgrimage trip to the Kadhimiya shrine, coinciding with the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Zainab (as).
During this visit, Sheikh Allami delivered a speech to these Iraqi pilgrims and recounted some instructions and directives of the Grand Jurist to the audience.
The Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Karbala marked the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Zainab (as) in this city, during a ceremony which was attended by religious scholars, clerics, and representatives of Islamic jurists.
Furthermore, the PR Office of Grand Jurist in Iraq held a ceremony to commemorate the memory of Lady Zainab (as) in holy Karbala. Religious and social figures as well as public groups of Shia believers participated in this ceremony.
Rasul Adham Institute, dependent to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Kadhimiya also marked the memory of Lady Zainab (as) in this City. Sheikh Ahmed Allami, the PR manager of Grand Jurist in this City made a speech to the audience at this ceremony.
Om Al-Banin Institute, dependent to the Office of Grand Jurist in Maysan Province of Iraq also held a commemorative ceremony on Lady Zainab’s martyrdom anniversary. Sheikh Saad Al-Duraji, one of the representatives of the Grand Shia Jurist in Maysan Province made a speech among the public.
The umbrella society of Wila Wal-Fida formed by the PR Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi, consisting of groups of Iraqi pilgrims from holy Karbala, organized religious march at the vicinity of the shrine of Lady Zaynab (as) in Damascus, coinciding with the martyrdom anniversary of this noble lady. Great numbers of Shia believers, lovers of AhlulBayt (as), as well as religious and cultural figures, including Mr. Aref Nasrullah, the PR manager of Grand Jurist participated in this religious march.
Ever since the outbreak of war in Syria, the Wila Wal-Fida Society began serious of pilgrimage trips to this country to mark the religious occasions around the year.
